Sword Art Online "The World Seed" Review

"In that world, that Kirito's mission is over now."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

Well, Season 1 is over folks. We've finally reached the end of our initial wave of heartache and awkwardness. Aincrad, ALO. Warriors and fairies, it all ends here.

Sword Art Online "Gilded Hero" Review

"Then you are giving up. To the power of a system you once defied."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

So, I looked up what "gilded" meant because I wasn't entirely sure. And, what I found doesn't entirely make sense as it pertains to the episode. We'll get to that when we get there, but, just so you know.

Sword Art Online "Bonds" Review

"It's a waste of time asking people who they are. All you can do is accept them as is."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

Well after that hot mess of awkward that ended last episode, how can we start today's episode? By, of course, showing us yet again why Suguha's heart is broken! Yay!...?

Sword Art Online "The Grand Quest" Review

"My strength in this game is a lie. Nothing more than skills and stats."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

And we've reached the breaking point! For both Kirito and Leafa. Ah, man, what a mess of awkward this episode turned into. Never would have gotten that based on how the episode started, but, hey, that's why we watch the show.

Sword Art Online: "The Truth of ALfheim" Review

"Daddy's yawn usually lasts about eight seconds."
"Yeah, Yui, keep the trivia to yourself."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

Alright, an episode that heavily features Asuna! And, dang it, an episode that features a lot of "OH COME ON"s, but in a good way. Not in a "oh come on you idiot" more like "oh come you were right there" kind of way.

Sword Art Online "General of the Blazing Flame" Review

"All I am's your friendly neighborhood mercenary."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

So I was totally wrong yesterday, they're only slightly veering from the path of the World Tree. But still, it's not on the path so what the heck.

Sword Art Online "The Lugru Corridor" Review

"As long as I'm alive, I won't let anyone in my party die. I won't let that happen again."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

Well, can't say nothing happened this episode, but it does start us off on a subplot that has no bearing on the real "rescue Asuna" plot. While it is an interesting one, it would certainly be better suited when there isn't someone's real life on the line.

Sword Art Online "To the World Tree" Review

"You humans are so complicated."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

Not that I bobbed my head from boredom this episode, but...

Yeah.

Sword Art Online "Captive Queen" Review

"I'm pretty sure if he was a spy, he wouldn't be such a ditz."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

Alright, here's where things start to get a little silly/ outlandish. Unbelievable in a show about people trapped in a video game, I know, but that's how it is. The plot and characters start to become, I'll say, weird. Not Kirito or Asuna, who we also get to see again this episode, but some of the newer characters. It all spirals into some weird subplots that you can pretty easily see the show doing without.

Sword Art Online "Land of the Fairies" Review

"Whoever's not afraid of dying, come on. Step up and get some."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

Kirito is back, baby! After what was primarily a Kazuto-based episode, we finally get to see Kirito back in action. It's not technically the same character as the one from SAO, but, his username is still Kirito.

Sword Art Online "Return" Review

"SAO isn't over. Not by a long shot."

FULL EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD

In the show's first real filler episode we get a glimpse into what life has been like for Kazuto since he defeated Heathcliff and saved over 6,000 lives in SAO. There's no real action--outside of a small duel with wooden swords--and some dramatic tension, so most of it is just catching us up on what's been happening since it all ended.
